Caps Sign Godfrey

The Caps have signed blueliner Josh Godfrey, their second round pick in this past summer's Entry Draft, to a three-year entry level deal.

Update: Tarik's got the salary deets - $637,500, $687,500 and $687,500.

Good thing they're not wasting their time with meaningless stuff like signing Ovechkin or making a move for a rightwing.

Apples and oranges.

So Godfrey was the one at rookie camp with the blistering slapper, right? (Gawd, that sounds awful.)

So does this mean that he will play in Hershey?

Not this year - for North American players of his age, it's the NHL or Juniors.

I'm holding my breath for him to be Schultz's immediate replacement. :)

Something very sad happened tonight. For the first time ever, I came to the realization that I don't enjoy watching the Caps play anymore. Please help.

Wait, I'm sorry, were the Caps (aside from 8 and one or two others) playing?!

No reason Godfrey and Alzner shouldn't be at least getting the 10 game look junior players get.
