Perhaps the strangest thing about the jerseys is this from Lightning.com:"The road jersey will include a new feature, including the placement of each player’s number on the front right chest area. " [Emphasis added]Only the roads will have front numbering? Odd, no?

The Islanders have the numbers on the front of the should on their new jerseys as well. Personally I dont see what either was thinking.
It's more that they have the numbers on the front on the road jerseys and not on the homes that I find odd. Don't the Isles have the numbers on the front on both?
Yes they(the islanders) have the shoulder #'s on both home & away jerseys. Its not the worst idea ever, but I am glad the caps didnt do this.
Oh -- I pray that the Caps NEVER put numbers on the front. I think that look is terrible.

Soon they'll be different, just like everyone else.
The horizontal "cuff" on the sleeves is really annoying. Especially the white ones on the dark jerseys. Reminds me of those Chinese-looking pajama outfits (no idea what the name is for those).
