Hey Now, You're An All-Star... Again

For the second consecutive year, Alex Ovechkin has been named an NHL First-Team All-Star.

Per the CP, "Ovechkin is the first player to earn first all-star team honours in each of his first two full seasons since Detroit goaltender Terry Sawchuk in 1950-51 and 1951-52. The Washington Capitals left-winger from Moscow scored 46 goals last season and led all players in shots on goal (392) for the second year in a row."

It's nice to see that the Caps didn't leave Thursday night's awards ceremony without some recognition, and to do something that hasn't been done in more than half a century is just one more line on Alex's already-incredible résumé.

Wait until Alex gets a real center.
60 goals and 120 points isn't out of reach.
