Don Cherry's U.S. Debut

If you didn't catch the second intermission of last night's game, you missed out - Don Cherry certainly lived up to the advanced billing. Whether or not that's a good thing, well, I'll let you decide:

Cherry filled every second of his time with nothing but truth. If you want to email NBC to tell them that you want more Cherry, you can do so at nbcsports@nbcuni.com

It was probably the hilite of the night was listening to Don Cherry on NBC. For those who are unfamiliar with him it may have been a bit of a shock to see the oddly dressed, older gentleman speaking bombastically about the game/politics.
2) However, he is a Canadian icon of sorts. He frequently says the wrong/dumb things, but his observations last night about fighting were DEAD-ON! As we have pointed out frequently here at FAUXRUMORS fighting sells! To try to reduce or even sillier eliminate that part of the game to mollify people who don't like the game anyway is well beyond stupid.
3) Americans are not unlike their Canadian counter parts, we love a good scrap. No one up and leaves their seat/changes the channel during a fight!

Oh my god. Not only are the Fauxlets' follies back, but "they" are now here in ALL CAPS. Does Blogger have an IP address blocker built-in to its commenting software?

I know, I've been saying for years here at MYBLOG (even though this isn't MYBLOG) that fighting is necessary.

MYBLOG.MYBLOGSPOT.COM y'all!

1) Hey Tyler still afraid of pronouns? LOL Why not respond to the content instead of (again) having to go to personal attacks? Nothing better to add?
2) Also you may want to translate that post of yours. Is it in code?

To be clear, I'm pretty much in agreement with you, Faux. I just find you to be humorous.

You're the Jughead of the Rink. I always wanted to be Dilton.

Cherry was GREAT. Kind of looked like a cross between Colonel Sanders and Michael Irvin.

I thought it was funny how they tried to one-up one another.

"Get rid of the instigator rule!"

"Ban visors!"

If the segment lasted another 30 seconds they probably would have whipped 'em out and measured.

Ratings for ratings sake. Are we there already?

You really have to laugh to keep from crying. Those two are more damaging than they are humorous. If I'm the League, I don't see how they (or who they speak to) fit in with the 'NHL in America' idea. Completely senseless.

Thanks for posting this! I missed the whole game and had completely forgotten it meant I'd be missing that too. Every bit as good as what I expected from the two of them.

Was watching in a bar and couldn't hear the commentary, but Don Cherry certanly made a statement.

He looked like...

A Black and White Cookie

A Wedding Cake

Santa on an acid trip

However you slice it, he inspired me to order another dirty martini with a side of peyote buttons.

Let's go Ducks! Let's go Caps!

Everyone likes a fight....but Cherry remains an idiot. He is basically a Canadian Captain Kangeroo.
