Who is the one person whose performance will most impact which teams skates with the Cup next week? I'm going with Daniel Alfredsson (and the Sens in six). You?
As much as I'd like to see a Canadian team finally win another cup, I think it's going to be Anaheim in seven. I think it's going to be interesting to watch as the Sens try to make it a north-south offensive series while the Ducks try for an east-west defensive series. But if it came down to one game for all the marbles and the two goaltenders were Giguere and Emery, there's no doubt in my mind - I'd take J.S. any day of the week.
I don't disagree with that last point, but is there a goalie Ottawa has faced so far (Fleury, Brodeur, Miller) that you wouldn't have taken over Emery heading into the series?
You have a good point, and everyone I've talked to about this series has said the same thing you did ("Emery beat Brodeur" etc.) You can't discount that he's on a hot streak, but hot streaks eventually end and I still think Giguere is the better goaltender.

This is going to be a brutal contest. The Ducks reputation may hurt them with the Refs. It may depend on how tight they call the games.
Senators in 6
I'll go with Chris Pronger. He's MR. Shutdown. If the Sens can't beat him and puffy marshmellow goalie, all hope will be lost for Ottawa.
