JP's post this morning over at the NHL FanHouse questioning the legitimacy of Martin Brodeur possibly owning the record for most wins in a season in the age of shootout wins, provides a great opportunity to pull this Time cover out of the attic.
Within the February, 1975 mag's pages is a great profile of former Flyer goalie Bernie Parent entitled, "Courage and Fear in a Vortex of Violence" that, through the magic of the Information Superhighway, you can read here.
And here's a bit of Time trivia for your next pub quiz: the Parent issue marks one of five times in the magazine's 84-year history that hockey has appeared on the cover, the most recent being back in 1985 when Wayne Gretzky and Larry Bird shared top billing.
