And We Thought NHL Refs Were Bad?

Sorry for the non-hockey post, but this just had to be noted. As Eric Wynalda said in the studio after today's 1-1 draw between the U.S. and Italy, "There are two kinds of refs: bad refs and worse refs." We might need a third category for this clown.

This guy was terrible. If I'm Bruce Arena, I'd say, look, leave the guy on the field if you feel like you have to keep making make-up calls.

McBride's fucking head was cut open, and that was a red card, but what Mastroeni did was nothing--probably not even a foul at all, since he got ball and his spikes were down.
