We've Moved

To find out where, click here or on the Mayflower truck...

Oh, and if you're reading this in a RSS reader, you're going to have to visit the new site and update your feed.

I am absolutely not a fan of that horribly designed website. Too much fluff.

Ugh, just terrible. You've just lost a long-time and loyal reader. Sorry JP, but congratulations on the new digs. Hope you find much success.

Way to go, JP!

@ "Anon": Hook yourself up with a decent pop-up/ad-blocker and check back often - changes will be coming.

Anon, I know you aren't going to give up on this blog for something as trivial as the website design. Yes, it is hard leaving this site, which seemed to be especially easy on the eyes, almost calming in a weird way...but you'll get used to the new site and I'm sure JP wants constructive feedback.

Hello? Is anyone actually hearing this? LOL

As someone who spends a ton of time on a SB Nation Football blog, I'm psyched my favorite hockey blog is joining the network.

No word verifications!

Besides, Ted is an investor in SB Nation, about time it had a Caps blog (much less the best!)

I second the criticism of that awful web site. I have a pop-up blocker and a flash blocker and I still find it obnoxiously slow and overly busy. On most blogs it's like looking for treasure at the end of the rainbow to search out a RSS link, and it's hit or miss whether I can find a link to a particular feed. There are already a few that I've given up on; half an hour to add each feed is just way too much time.

As soon as Mirtle posted he was recruiting for all 30 teams, I knew you were headed over there. What took so long?

@ af: The RSS feed for the new site is simple to find - it's in the left column.

@ tax: Negotiations, man, negotiations... :)

i will second the sentiment that the new site is very, very busy and difficult on the eyes.

however, i seem to have escaped the pop-ups, and i fully support any avenue that improves JP's bottom line or his credibility outside the caps circle.

this is by far my favorite blog, and i often cite it when i'm trying to convince someone that blogs can be both astute and funny, not just one or the other.

congrats, JP!

Thanks, Natty, and trust me - the site will look better in time, but it is what it is right now.

Thank you, Todd Bertuzzi. LOL

Heh, you gotta be kidding. This guy doesn't know how to use a feed reader?

The problem I've found with the SBN sites is that they look far better on much larger resolutions. If you've got a big monitor, they're fine, but on a standard 17-inch one, it does get cluttered. It's something I'd like to have changed when there's a redesign.

This means I can read the blog at work. I win, my employer loses.

YES!

@ James Mirtle

I am the one who made that original comment. Feed readers are 'okay' but the enjoyment I receive from reading blogs is being able to go to the comments and discuss things with my fellow peers. A feed reader has a sort of alienating and "unpersonable" feel to it. You don't get the same experience. I only use my feed reader for yahoo news, cnn news and other "news" type sites. Not for blogs. I love going to a blog and scrolling through posts and viewing comments right then and there. The new site is way too busy, and it actually is a real strain on my eyes. It's just tough for me to follow what is going on with that chaotic design. I'm sorry you don't agree with me but I'll give that site another shot, but more than likely I will not be visiting it.

I don't even think anyone is going to see this comment anymore. It's a shame.

Again, I don't mean to be argumentative and disruptive. Sorry if it seems that way.

Thanks.
