He Looks Familiar, But I Can't Quite Place Him...

This is weird - I went shopping this afternoon and found this in the dairy section of my Giant:

I don't get it. He was playing well. No idea. Has to be that they're showcasing 4 and 6 for trade...

You'd think.

Steve come home we miss you. I want #44 as the point man on the PP, get Heward out of there.

Well, it's because a trade has been in the works for quite some time right now.

Word is that original terms of the Emginer trade fell through but the team is working extremely hard on completeling the deal. By the deadline, Eminger will likely no longer be a Washington Capital.

Best of luck.

I love anonymous "word is" types.

Word is you're a high-schooler with gland problem.

You forgot to add "Best of luck."

Tyler,

Why would I lie? At the end of the day, you can choose to believe me or not, but that futile attempt at degrading me was quite embarassing to not just me, but espcially yourself.

I with for Eminger's agent and I am in constant dialogue with several sources regarding the "in's-&-out's" of several trades.

When the trade happens, you will eat crow. But I can understand fully as to why you don't believe. But the name calling is very immature.

Looks like we have another burgeoning Eklund on our hands? LOL

Huh, really? So says the man with the name/tag "Faux Rumors2".

Figures.

Anonymous said...

Yea ok Eklund, rumors are like assholes, everyone has one.

Anyone can claim to be an insider, you have no proof either way. The only time I believe a trade rumor is when I see it on the NHL website.

1) So since you're anonymous and all why not let us in on what team and for what the Caps intended to trade Eminger for?
2) Not to worry your secret wil stay safe here. LOL

I think we're all missing the big picture here. Let's stop the name calling and focus on the really big news in this comments thread:

FAUXRUMORS POSTED WITHOUT NUMBERING HIS POST!!!!!!!!!!!!111

i think everyone is a little too concerned with whether or not there is a name to go along with the message. can i just say whats on my mind or do you need to address and phone number too.

When the trade happens, you will eat crow.

And if it doesn't, you'll still be anonymous.

Most of my anonymous posters are great, and I understand that it's easier to post anonymously than getting a blogger account (though that's super easy and I encourage all of you anons to do it if you plan on hanging around here). But this "I'm an insider" rumor-mongering adds nothing.

If you're anonymous b/c you're an insider (understandable), give us some facts - teams, names, etc. After all, you're anonymous, so who cares? Otherwise, don't try to state your opinion of what will happen as fact.

Oh, and Tyler:The Rink :: Brashear:The Caps.

1) We don't allow anonymous posts for that reason. We don't want a name/address, but at least we have some idea where the posts are coming from.
2) Still waiting to hear about the details of this imminent Eminger trade, 'Anonymous'.

From Tarik's latest chat:

San Antonio: What's the status with Eminger? Wasn't he playing decently at the time he was benched?

If the Capitals aren't tanking, it's hard to convince people of it when they don't dress a player they are allegedly trying to "rebuild" with.

Tarik El-Bashir: I spoke to Eminger today and he's as confused as everyone else about what's going on. I'm thinking one of two things is happening here: the Caps are showcasing Heward or they are afraid of Eminger getting hurt because he's going to be traded. I'm thinking it's a little of both.

this eminger thing is starting to make me question management and coaching for really the first time. Not sure what good can come from not playing one of your youngest and brightest defensive prospects(although i guess hes more than a prospect at this point)especially when you have been talking about your lack of defensive depth all season and your need to accelerate the development of players exactly like him. Its just a shame because if we do trade him we wont get *%#$ in return, and i dont need to be an insider to know that as fact.
