Anybody notice who the top three in plus minus are for the entire league? Hint, they all wear the same uniform. http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.htm?fetchKey=20092ALLSASAll&sort=plusMinus&viewName=points
How was Jose not the #1 star last night? I mean, seriously, the guy was unconscious. The save he made with the paddle of his stick coming back across the net? Sick. I normally don't sweat the order of these things, but the sportswriters were clearly smoking some illegal substances last night.
I'd like a report on how Alzer is doing in Hoi-shee. His numbers are okay. Is he a 'force'? Or is he merely very, very efficient?
Yeah, buh-bye Melrose. Ha! Wonder if all the rumored rumblings and grumblings among the players about what a lout he was were true.
And hello, Rick 'Nick the Greek' Tocchet! "On May 25, 2007, Tocchet plead guilty to conspiracy and promoting gambling. New Jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram announced on August 17 that Tocchet has been sentenced to two years probation in exchange for his plea."
@Billy: JP has a life other than this blog, you know... Maybe he has something to do today and doesn't have the time to dedicate to his usual high-quality analysis.
I thought the point was to put people WHO CAN F'N SCORE in the shootout...BOYD GORDON??? REALLY??? A damn sloth could go forehand to backhand faster than that...Jesus christ.

Interesting, b.orr4 - and here's the link for those of you for whom that is easier.
Last night's win leaves us 5th in the league, for those of you who care so early. I just find it satisfying. ^^
Waiting for word on Semin.
I'm hoping to see a little more fire tonight, and a goal from Ovi and Nicky each.
We can win without #28, guys. We'll need a stellar perf by JT60.
So Melrose is gone? Haven't seen that on here yet. Too bad Melrose wasn't the one who made all the horrible acquisitions and trades for the lightning
How bout a little less open thread, a little more Rink analysis?

JP, excellent One-Timer. Bravo!

Quite the Comeback Kid, eh? Pretty cool.
So, not expecting to see Semin tonight? Does anyone know ANYTHING about what happened to him? :O

That first goal was LAAAAZZZZYYYYY defense by Mike Green and Backstrom. Green especially. Ugly.

I know this is stupid, but Backstrom as the #3 star and Gionta as the #1?
Really?
WILD game, $%@#! the shootout.
@ Billy: Thanks for the interest.
@ Mursh: Thanks for the support.
