Bears Keep Scoring, Winning

Karl Alzner's first goal as a pro was one of many highlights in Hershey's 8-3 romp over Rochester this evening. Chris Bourque had a penalty shot goal and three assists, Quintin Laing and Oskar Osala had a pair of goals each, and Alzner added a helper to his goal (and was a team-best plus-four on the night), as the Bears outshot the Amerks 50-16 for the game.

Alzner now is a +9. The only player in the AHL with a higher +/- is Lepisto, who is a +10.

There is so much talent down in Hershey it's not even funny. The one thing that hasn't been dominant is the goaltending.

I really hope that we can make some room on the Caps for some of these guys, soon.

I was actually there for both Hershey games this weekend. For yesterday's game, we sat behind the Amerks bench. We got a front row seat for it all!

During Saturday's game, the Bears were pretty dominant in the first 2 periods and lead 3-0 which was a good thing because they played badly in the third and ending up only winning by 3-2.

And as were walking through the parking lot of the Giant Center, it smelled like chocolate.

KCK - I know you're quite the photographer/videographer... got anything good from your weekend in Chocolatetown?

I was also at the Saturday Hershey game and concur on the third period. That was nasty.

My friend was shooting this weekend, though, and we were down by the Hershey goal line, a couple of rows back from the boards. Will seek better seats next time, but the shot she got of Chris Bourque blowing bubblegum during warmups is pretty good.

Funny you should ask, JP. I do! I do!

I got back into late last night and was unable to upload them but will be able to send something out tonight.

Hershey has 15 more goals than any other AHL team.
