Don't Forget Shaone Morrisonn...

Stanley Cup of Chowder (via Puck Daddy) brings us the following quote straight from the mouth of Boston Bruins billionaire owner Jeremy Jacobs boasting yesterday about a couple of his team's up-and-comers:
"The biggest thing is you know you look at some of these kids coming on. We know that next year a lot of them will be out of ...will not be restricted and you have to accommodate them if you want to grow your organization. You got the Kessels of the world and other guys that are within their... Jur...Jurcina and those that are coming on that you got to save room for as they grow."
You know, I'm sure the Caps would be happy to help reunite Jacobs and Jurcina should, the B's want to swap Milans.

Jeez, is Jacobs related to Joe Biden? Next he'll be telling us that they've got this young kid from Parry Sound about to join the team.

Thanks for the link. Your owner may beat up kids with homemade signs, but at least he can name half of the guys on his own team's roster.

Read through the transcipts--they are filled with errors. I listened and he said Milan Lucic. Let's give him a little credit.

Jacobs is the reason I'm a Caps fan. I moved here from Boston in 2001, and hadn't been to a hockey game in years because of him. Wandered in the Booth, watched Bondra play his guts out, read up about Ted, and was hooked. I've been a STH since the 2003 season. So, thank you, Jeremey Jacobs, for inadvertantly having Ovechkin part of my days.
