I feel guilty watching this at work, but a 5-0 lead is encouraging.

Besides, um, butt-whoopin'? Final was 7-0 Caps. Lots of scraps in the third period - I think the Flyers got frustrated.

The stream refused to work for me, so I had only the live blog, so that's all I really have to say -- that from the live blog it seemed that the Caps rookies ran roughshod over the Flyers' kids in just about every way except when the gloves got dropped.

Was there live, liked what I saw out of Alzner, and Dovgan impressed me, as did Osala. I was really glad I got to take a look at Perrault and Bouchard since ive heard so much about them, and Perrault really looked great out there

Mestery, on the other hand, looked like DOGPOO....he got knocked on his ass at least 4 times, and made some really bad turnovers...he def needs a LOT more seasoning in the Salt and Pepper league.

I thought Godfrey was the best Caps D. He sure controls the PP. Alzner played ok but I thimk Carlson even out played him. The future looks great for the Caps. Some of you need to take the rose colored glasses off and start to notice prospects other than King Karl.

I agree that Alzner and Godfrey played well, but I think John Carlson was really, really good. (And a year younger than those guys.)

Peerless' roundup was spot-on.

Is there any chance of Carlson getting a look, or is he junior bound?

I believe he is headed to Dale Hunter in London next year

Realistically, Alzner could use 40-50 games, if not most of the season, in Hershey, getting significant minutes there before he gets to the Caps.
