I've gotten a couple of inquires about The Rink's sponsorship of Alex Ovechkin's page at Hockey-Reference.com, and we basically decided to do it to support a great site (and, of course, the traffic doesn't hurt either).
Check out Mirtle's post on the matter for more, and if you feel like dropping a few bucks to get your message out, most of the Caps can be yours for a year for just $10. Oh, and Daniel Briere will cost you $40 - come up with something clever and maybe we'll go halvsies with you.

You mean 'potential traffic,' right?
Gretzky's not earning his keep yet.
Very cool. I can spare a couple bucks to sponsor Brash and Clarkie.
Don't worry JP. I already sponsored Witt, Bonzai, and Langway. LOL, and I linked to you. (I don't have a website so f it.) If anyone's got something more clever for the tagline on them just let me know. It said Semin, Backstrom, and Green were all taken when I got there. Damn yous guys!!!
Snagged Erskine too!!! Oh joy!!!
Update:
I bagged the Caps 07/08 season page as well as Chris Simon's page.
Tagline: "Blogging Machine Never Breaks."
It's a great site.
Awesome, W/C (love the link back to here, too). Usually it takes a day or so for the sponsorships to show up, fyi.
I can't tell you how disappointed I was to learn that Boudreau's page was already taken. Damn those clever bastards at OFB!
Someone's got to cough up the $40 for the Jim Schoenfeld page and add the "Have another doughnut" quote.
And...done. I've got way to much disposable income. Your welcome JP!
Ha. It looks like OFB has bought up most of the Caps "free agents."
This is like prospecting...
We went for a few cheap and available free agents.
JP scored the big fish, though.
I couldn't let Ovie fall into the wrong hands...
JP,
Well played on sponsoring that Caps draft history page. What'd that run you?
For $100 you get everything that links under the team heading (Franchise Index, Skater Register, etc.), but not the individual seasons.
Here's the best sponsorship yet.
Thanks, JP! I did something similar for Matt Cooke's family foundation. I'm all about the public service messaging to give these guys some credit.
Best $40 I ever spent.
Awesome.
