Capital Connection Leads Russia To Victory

Alexander Semin tied the game at one, Sergei Fedorov tied it at two and Alex Ovechkin won the game with six ticks left in the third period.

Sounds like a pretty sweet Caps game... or a huge win for Russia in Group E play at the World Championships.

Thanks to Kyle for passing along the following clip of AO's game-winner, and be sure to check out the still that follows - three Caps are in the picture, but the third ain't Fedorov.

In the picture is that Backstrom with the "C"? If it was I didnt know he was team Sweden's captain.

At least Nikky didn't knock it in. I know, that was mean but I'm in a sour mood knowing all I have to watch is Philly and Pitssburgh tonight.

I second Dylan's comment. That's quite an accomplishment at 20 years old, isn't it?

Gee, I assume "C" stands for Captain in Swedish too. I'm impressed. All our boys R-O-C-K, no question about that. (boo hiss b.orr4 -- actually you beat me to it)

I never thought I'd feel bad for the Flyers but Orpik just grabbed Danielle and ran him into Fleury and Dannielle goes to the box.

Bettman sucks. Versus sucks. The idiot sitting next to JoeB sucks. The officiating sucks and the NHL is really getting to suck.
