Dionne: Alex Ovechkin Et. Al. "Made Fools Of Themselves"

Interesting thoughts from a guy who wore this to work for years:

Well that language was just a wee bit too much (though I certainly share the frustration with respect to tonight's power play).

With all due respect, Marcel Dionne is a moron. Canadians root against the US teams, and then get pissed at their lackluster fan bases. Well, like it or not, there's hockey fans in the US. Maybe as many as there are in Canada, by number. But by percentage, we're outnumbered. So, Marcel, get over yourself. The skills competition is not an example of how hockey is failing in the United States, and how you even come to that conclusion is questionable.

I didn't see tonight's game, I was out seeing Wayne Brady perform, but from what I've read, disappointment.

Shame. 26 more to go. A game in hand on Carolina. This see-sawing could last until the end of the year, so I'm trying not to get too live or die on every single game. Not easy, to be honest.

Go out, and love the team, win or lose. If the Caps lose, well, it wasn't meant to be that night. And bitching about which facet of the game lost us 2 points isn't worth looking at the team and thinking they are the most miserable thing ever dragging your life down.

My two cents for the night. Let's get 40 more points, eh? If we don't, It won't be the first time we miss the playoffs, and it won't be the last.

I agree with Monsieur Marcel, for the moat part! That new section of the Skill Competition at the end was just silly clowning around! I don't think they made "fools of themselves" so much as made fun of themselves. On the other hand -- so sue me, I'm a crass know-nothing, hockey-moronic USA American -- I do enjoy watching the rest of the Skills. The players seem to enjoy it a bit too. Lighten up Marcel!

Yet another example of Hockey snobbery. Sigh...

What's wrong with letting the guys go out and have a little fun?

Marcel... It's the All-Star game.
Relax!

Why don't you spend your 15 seconds of fame complaining about something worth looking irritated about...like the shootout.
