1) Hard to say if the Sabres were a step faster or the caps a step slower, but they lacked the same jump as the previous two games.
2) The 2nd line (Nylander/Semin/Fleischman) was particularly bad, with multiple give aways that led to goals.
3) Good to see Boudreau didn't stay with that trio folowing the 3rd sabres goal. Emminger appeared a bit rusty. Perhaps he was being show cased tonight?
4) The guys who appeared to have decent games: Kolzig, Green, AO, and Backstrom.
5) Sabres fans(despite their record and it being a week day game still showed up with decent numbers. Overall it was NOT a huge 'crowd'. Perhaps 12K

I would agree with Faux, except to say that Flash appeared to be working his tail off yet again. Nylander was the weak link there, at least to start, though Semin seemed quite out of it as well. Kozlov seemed strong tonight, maybe not his best game but about as good as it could be without him getting on the scoreboard.

I don't know how Nylander didn't get that goal...must've been kicking himself the rest of the night because he sure didn't help much in the final few minutes. I agree Kozlov had a strong game, when Ovie wasn't out there, he was making things happen. And kudos to the Brash line for continuing to put pressure on opponents in their end.

That's too bad. I was really hoping he would go undefeated for his entire career.
