The Caps' opening night roster (though perhaps not the lineup) is set now that Steve Eminger has been place on the IR.
In other opening night news, I thought I'd provide a public service and see if we can't bring some Caps fans together for the game. If you're in the Richmond area, for example, Rink Reader "maruk" is looking to get a crowd of Caps fans together to watch the game at Buffalo Wild Wings at Virginia Center Commons. And, of course, if you're local, Ventnor Sports Cafe is always a great place for pucks.
Where else are you all drinking, err, watching the game? Let us know in the comments and we'll see if we can't do a little drinking buddy matchmaking.

anyone all the way in the Annapolis area, I have a theater room rented out for the game...
Looking for a cute blonde/brunette 23-25. :)
You did say drinking buddy matchmaking.
I'm on another continent or I'd be in.
But what's the word on Eminger's injury? An ankle? A...?
Thanks for the post, JP.
To those in and around Richmond, I've started a quick and dirty blog. Click the link and let me know if you're coming. Or if you're too lazy, post a comment here. Thanks.

I'll be at Verizon Center, section 115.
This displaced Penguins fan will be in Section 114 in Chinatown on Saturday night!
The "Rivals 6 plan" might have Ted turn me yet! But don't get too excited,I'm still Tivo'ing the Pens game.
Any good hockey related places to drink before/after the game..I'm new to the area.
The comfort of my couch in an undisclosed location Friday night.
An undiclosed location within the Phone Booth on Saturday.
1) Looks like Kris Beech is available(waived by Columbus) for some sly GM to snatch up as their 2nd line center. ; )
James, I'd probably be good for at least two of those tix. How much are they?

I'm a Caps fan living in Boston. I'll have the Caps on in one room and the Bruins on the another.
I'll be in my apartment with my girlfriend or out at some B-Dubs in Winchester for the Thrashers game. As for Saturday, I'll be in some phone booth location with a fine looking young woman and her cross dressing boyfriend. Oh yes, Hockey sure does bring in all kinds of people.
Do y'all always show up to BW3 at VCC for game nights? I live like 5 minutes from there if that.
Hey Bryan,
This is a new thing I'm trying to get started. If it became a regular thing, that would certainly be cool with me, though I couldn't do it for every game. Let me know if you want to come tomorrow night.
Congrats on being the #7 rated hockey blog! See bfloblog...
oops, I mean 9th best - still awesome!
