Gordon Leaves Practice; Kolzig To Start Friday

We now return to our regularly scheduled Caps coverage.

Tarik reports from K-Plex that Boyd Gordon had to leave practice early today for "precautionary" reasons, which could open the door for Brian Sutherby's season debut tomorrow night at MSG.

In other news from today's practice, one report from K-Plex had the team working on the power play this morning with Michael Nylander on the first unit, swapping places with Chris Clark.

As for the weekend's goaltending duties, expect Olie Kolzig to be in goal in "his favorite building," with Brent Johnson likely starting against the Sabres on Saturday night.

Finally, head over to TFP for a great read from Rink buddy Greg Wyshynski on the Caps' "Locker Room Without Borders."
