The Caps have released their promotional schedule for the coming season and there are certainly some attractive giveaways, but perhaps none more appropriate than the schwag they'll be handing out on December 12 when the Rangers are in town. Though they usually don't need any extra bait to lure folks to the VC when the Broadway Blueshirts come 'round, on that night they'll be giving out "red mullet wigs" to the first 5,000 fans.Rangers... mullets... I wonder what the connection is.

Awesome stuff - anyone else remember when the 'ol Caps Centre would play Aerosmith's "Dude Looks Like a Lady" when Jagr would be sent to the box?
Here's a goof though - why are we going to have a "white-out" when the Pens are in town - they're going to be wearing white, no?

The promo schedule says the game on the 16th starts at 7 pm, while the overall schedule says it starts at 3 pm. i hope i don't have to wait around for a couple of extra hours for my freebies.
Also, where am i going to get a 12-year-old to take to a game to get myself a free Caps Mr. Potato Head?
I'd like to think that the night we're playing the Pens they'll wear white at home. Actually, I'd like to think all season they'll wear white at home, but I won't get my hopes up.
