New Logos And Jerseys Part VII

The Vancouver Canucks are the latest team to unveil their new duds, and here they are:

Nice colors, but waaaay too crowded for my tastes. Bottom line: if you're going to go with blue, green and white with a whale theme, do it right. Thoughts?

H/t to HFBoard poster ramirez_inc for the pics.

Because you can't show the Whale and not have the Brass Bonanza playing.

Why would Vancouver muck up a perfectly good logo with that collegiate-style type?

How can a franchise with the coolest logo & unis in sports f#&k it up again and again? Man!

i agree w/ the masses. i was looking forward to Vancouver's unis almost as much as the Caps and the Canucks came up short.

1) They should have gone retro. back to the stick across the crest theme. Not to worry, the canucks have a new uniform every 3 years so the wait for a new one won't be long

Wow. That's just awful. Teams realize they want the jerseys to look GOOD right?

It's a good thing they have "Vancouver" on the home jerseys, lest the fans forget where they are.

At least baseball uniforms usually have the city on the road jerseys and team name on the home jerseys.

Yea, more jerseys that loook like t-shirts with a long-sleeved shirt underneath.

Ugh. I don't see why they needed to add text to the jersey and the green stripe on the whites looks garish for some reason. I liked their alts last year- they should have gone with something like those.

they should have added shoulder-pad fringe to make them extra garish - Sgt. Pepper style

God those are terrible. What's with the word Vancouver? That adds nothing. Hopefully it will soon be gone, like the short-lived "Blues" that St. Louis put over their symbol one year.

Colors are great - why ruin it with that weird and crappy text?

Btw, I think that this is why you don't see more horizontal striping - because the bottoms of the jerseys aren't straight across, the stripes don't run parallel and look, sorta like errantelf said, like they're wearing a jersey over a long t-shirt.

Kind of reminds me of these old St. Louis jerseys.

I wasn't too fond of these, either.

Is it sad that (My opinion here) the Caps and the Blue Jackets are the only teams that got a memo on how to get make a good Reebok jersey? Anywho, Canucks could be worse, they could be what Tampa got, and that logo is just terrible. Anywho, KB should get points for posting Brass Bonanza :D
