That has to be the biggest "Who cares" in the history of jersey unveiling. It's almost as if someone tapped the old logo on the shoulder and he turned around a bit.
Well, the socks are pretty strange, but the changes to the rest of the uniform are pretty benign. I'm glad to see that not every team is taking this opportunity to completely revamp their look.
I'm obviously in the minority-- I like them. Frankly, I'm glad they didn't opt for pointless piping and questionable colour blocking.
I will say that I never warmed up to the logo but the shoulder patch is a nice touch. I, too would have preferred horizontal stripes at the hems and the love of colours under the arms is also confusing, but frankly I was expectig much worse so I suppose this is good enough, heh.
Awful, same disgusting tri-color blocked outside sleeves and solid color inside sleeves as the Pens. They also have the side stripe and different colored armpits I hate so much. It seems like Reebok had 3 templates- color blocked sleeves, piping, or both- and forget about having any horizontal stripes. The more I see what other teams have done, the less I hate the Caps new duds and their stupid piping.

Couldn't they have found a better lit room to have their unveiling?

The cartoon version of their old logo is a step down, but it isn't nearly as bad as some of the other monstrosities we've seen.
Absolutely horrible
Patrick Eaves?, on the right looks like a kangaroo.
I love 'em. Put the logo on a patch and you could be at your neighborhood leather bar. MC Sens or something.
A big step down. The logo is far worse, in my opinion, and again, these look like practice jerseys.
Excuse me...Chris Kelly looks like a kangaroo. Is he sitting out his stomach or is that just RBK goodness?
But wait - there's less!
Check out the back of the socks.

Without any horizontal stripes, it looks like a nightshirt.

So in short, don't love it, don't hate it.

Good: No useless piping.
Bad: That logo is worse than the Islanders' infamous fisherman. Suddenly, I'm somewhat happy the Caps stuck with lettering.
Overall: A terrible logo will completely ruin any jersey.
