Heward Lands In Russia; Caps Lose Pick They Never Had

From the "FYI" department, according to Hokej.cz, former Caps blueliner Jamie Heward has signed with SKA St. Petersburg of the Russian Super League (RSL), which is coached by former Pens/Wings/'Yotes assistant coach Barry Smith.

Of note, Heward's new teammates will include a former Leafs teammate (Dmitri Yushkevich) and a former Cap (Andrei Nikolishin).

Update: As Rage points out, this means that the Caps will not receive the conditional pick from Los Angeles (a fifth round pick in 2008) that they would have received had Heward resigned with the Kings.

H/t to Spector on the link

This DOES have an impact, right? Because now we don't get that conditional 6th rounder, right?

That's correct - the Caps would have only gotten the pick (which was actually a 5th round pick in 2008) had Heward resigned with the Kings.

Has the mouse SEEN the women in Russia?

(and don't give me any comparison with the women in LA. Nonsense)

Actually, that was on a pointer from Spector, but I've checked it out quite a number of times before.

I heard that Heward is bi-sexual and is dating Dmitri Yushkevich thus the departure to Russia.
