With the Hershey Bears and Hamilton Puppydogs ready to drop the puck on their Calder Cup Finals series, the Hamilton Spectator is running a profile of Puppydogs defenseman Mathieu Biron, a hard-luck case who has been denied the chance to play in the NHL playoffs because he has "landed right in the middle of a rebuilding" everywhere he's gone."Unfortunately, I was on the lower end of the standings [on each of my NHL teams]," sighs Biron, apparently unaware of the chicken-or-the-egg nature of the statement.
The Spectator laments further:

Back in 1998, the Los Angeles Kings thought enough of him to draft him in the first round, 21st overall. Ahead of guys like Scott Gomez, Mike Fisher, Brad Richards, and the player chosen right after him, Simon Gagne.
Biron is playing a big role and big minutes for the Puppydogs. If for no other reason than that, I'm predicting Bears in five.

1) "He(Biron) Skates well"?? LOL LOL Either Mathieu got some power skating lessons since his Caps days, or the writer hasn't seen an NHL game.
2) Biron was a pilon/turnstile on the ice. We'll give him the hard shot attribute, but its seldom on target. There's a reason you're in the AHL Matt, you're NOT good!
