You forgot to mention that both Staal and Stastny played significant PK time (2:16 per game for Stastny and 3:08 for Staal), while Malkin played almost none (27 seconds).
Obviously I am biased, but I think Stastny supasses Malkin in every stat except points and goals (and he's darn close in those areas too). He's better defensively and a better passer. I think he deserves the Calder
Yes but Malkin racked up his more points by getting more power play time than Statsny. If you look at the numbers, And I have Stastny's a more efficient scorer than Malkin, while being tremendoously better in his own end. Overall, he had a better season.
