Using The FCF To Predict The Stanley Cup Finals

After a perfect Conference Finals, the Former Cap Factor (FCF) is now a robust 23-for-29 (79%).

What does the FCF have to say about the Stanley Cup Finals?

The Senators haven't yet had to use former Cap Lawrence Nycholat, but he is on the roster nonetheless (and is assumed to be "a big part of the character in the dressing room"). And, of course, former Cap bench boss Bryan Murray is piloting the ship for Ottawa.

Anaheim, on the other hand, has former Cap assistant coach Randy Carlyle as its head coach, but no former Cap players, head coaches or GMs.

The answer, therefore, is obvious: the Cup stays in the States.

What do you think? Ducks or Senators?

I'm pulling for the Sens, but I've been pulling for a Canadian team for two (now three) straight years. And we all know where that's gotten us.

Also, would anyone be interested in going to the SCF game next Saturday in Ottawa? I need to get the fudge outta NYC.

Definitely interested, however...Chris from Sens Underground says that the cheapest seat he's found is $200. I'm pulling for the Sens too, but that's an expensive, lost weekend.

A little trivia I heard on XM one day; A Canadian team has won the cup every year that ends in a 7 (except for once by Detroit). I think I have to go with Ottawa in 07.

1) For some comic relief our buddy Stan Fischler picked the Senators in 4! This the same man who recently has called the Ottawa goalie Ray Emery a "mediocre back up" and "sieve".
2) Guess that Stan believes that the Senators are that much better than the Ducks that they can overcome having the most important position occupied by such an inferior player. LOL

My heart says "Go Senators" but the FCF says the Ducks and I can no longer doubt the FCF. So it's Ducks in 7. Giggy will be the difference.
