So Which Is It?

Three interesting (and somewhat conflicting) quotes from Tarik in his latest WaPo online chat regarding the lines of communication between head coach Glen Hanlon and his players:

Tarik El-Bashir: Hanlon meets with his players on a one-on-one basis a lot. There's plenty of communication going on there. And the conversations aren't stictly Xs and Os.

Tarik El-Bashir: The mental state of the team is extremely fragile... Eminger and Clymer are wondering why they are being scratched every night.

Tarik El-Bashir: I spoke to Eminger today and he's as confused as everyone else about what's going on.
So which is it? Is the coach a great communicator or not? If not, why state that he is? If so, why insinuate that players don't know where they stand? My guess (and Tarik's too, I'm sure) is that Eminger and Clymer know exactly why they're being scratched. We may not know, but I'm sure that the principles do.

1) The Clymer situation is different than Eminger. He's a veteran while Eminger(so we're told) is part of the team's future.
2) To suddenly bench him for several games at a time(for no evident reason) begs for answers.
3) The Tarik blog with its schizophrenic description of Hanlon's communication skills should make Cap fans less than comfortable about the team's future in his hands

Faux calls someone else schizophrenic. Rich on many levels.

Like I said, I'm sure the people who need to know, know. It's Tarik's job, however, to get the coach to give some rationale to the rest of us (and yes, we're only talking about Emmy here - we know why Clymer's not playing).

Trades are imminent my friend. I've said this before, and yes I am indeed posting under an Anonymous tag, but in regards to Mr. Tarik's remarks.. he is indeed on to something. Perhaps that is why he didn't respond to my email, but nevertheless. Eminger has been shopped and is close to being dealt. Clymer I do not have much information on, sadly enough.
