Wow. That's way too much gloating for a beat guy. And since when were the Caps message boards full of anything but three good people and the lunatic fringe? I stopped reading them when these here blogs got good.
What's the matter JP can't stand a little competition?! As long as Tarik keeps his opinions in his blog, I have no problem with editorializing. In fact, I think that it's refreshing to have a beat reporter do that and do a Q&A session for fans. This guy has a unique perspective given his position; I for one want to know more about what Caps management is doing/thinking, and how the players are dealing with the change of fortune.
Ha. I'm in competition with the Washington Post - that's rich.
I just don't think it's very professional for a mainstream journalist to be putting forth message board crap and innuendo when he has access to what they call "sources" in the business. The "I told you so" stuff is also way over the line. But to each his own.
And if you "want to know more about what Caps management is doing/thinking, and how the players are dealing with the change of fortune," that's his job - but I don't see him doing it, do you?
I second Gustafsson. Well done, for eloquently and succinctly pointing that out. This is one case where I agree with Caps Nut and his nickname for the boards as "Darwin's Waiting Room."

Too bad Tarik had to feed the trolls with that garbage.

JP....
All of OFB stands and applauds your retort to Tarik's pompous post.
We will all buy you a beer at the next meeting.
Bravo!
You'll all buy me a beer? How about one from each of you? ;)
