So Dubya, What Did You Think Of Last Night's Game?

I'm back from Raleigh and will have a recap of the trip later, but the above sums up all I'm going to say about the game itself.

Completely random question for Caps fans: not sure if the team's current uniform is a hot-button issue, but is there (or has there been) any buzz for the organization to go back to red, white and blue?

I'm just curious, and figured folks here would know.

It's absolutely a hot-button issue and the team has informally announced that they will be returning to the old colors next year.

Really? That is very good news - we have the most hideous uniforms in the NHL.

Yeah, periwinkle and copper may be one of the most ill-conceived color combos in sports history. I mean, even the Canucks' flying V has some retro appeal to it; the same likely won't be said about the crooked eagle. (And like the old teal and purple Ducks scheme, these Caps uniforms never looked good - not even in the 90s.)

The red, white and blue, on the other hand, is one of those classics that teams come to regret moving away from. Kudos to the Caps if they return to their roots.

I've always like the copper with the logo of the capital on the front. But I was living there when they announced it. My friend has the old school Caps jersey with Kelly Miller on the back.
