Friday Roundup/Gameday: Thrashers @ Caps

[SeSo Open Thread - NHL.com Preview - WashingtonCaps.com Preview - Official Gameday Thread]

Tonight the Thrashers come to town, and they're not in a good mood. Kari Lehtonen couldn't stop a beachball the other night against Carolina and may get the night off tonight (though I tend to doubt it), Marian Hossa fired 16 (?!) shots on goal in the loss and Ilya Kovalchuk may or may not have really painful hemorrhoids. It's no secret that the Caps can't afford to spend 19+ minutes shorthanded like the 'Canes did the other night and expect to win. So what's the mantra? That's right: stupid is death. Perhaps I'll have a more insightful preview over on SeSo later. Perhaps.

Elsewhere 'Round the Rinks:
  • Japers' Rink/SeSo Road Trip info!
  • I got the new Jeff Tweedy DVD in the mail yesterday. It's amazing. If you have ears, you really owe it to them to check it out.
  • Ken Klee and Joel Kwiatkowski both scored goals last night. The apocalypse is nigh.
  • What on earth did I do to deserve this (scroll to the bottom)? To show that there are no hard feelings, I'll help Jes try to sell some records by showing you the video for his new single "Elektronik Supersonik" (he's so shiny - how can you not buy a copy?):
