[Gameday Preview]The Caps finally return to the ice tonight in Philly, a team/building/city that's been especially unkind to Washington in recent years, and both squads are a bit shorthanded. The Caps will be without forwards Dainius Zubrus, Matt Bradley and Petr Sykora, while injuries will force the Flyers to play three rookies at center. The Caps have recalled defenseman Nolan Yonkman and forward Tomas Fleischmann to fill out tonight's roster.
According to Dave Fay, Alex Ovechkin finished second in the Rookie of the Month race for October. Personally, I think both Jason LaBarbera and Henrik Lundqvist deserved it more than both Ovechkin and the guy who won it.
