In other news around the League:
- The Sabres will retire two more numbers: Pat LaFontaine's 16 and Danny Gare's 18.
- Flyer forward Turner Stevenson is out 2-3 months with a hip injury, Steve Yzerman re-injured his (Yzerman's) groin and Kari Lehtonen is out another week to 10 days with a groin injury of his own.
- Wings center Kris Draper and Flames center Matthew Lombardi each left their team's games with injuries Monday night and did not return.
- The NHL has suspended Senator wing Martin Havlat five games for kicking Boston defenseman Hal Gill. Had Havlat dropped the gloves with Gill, he'd likely be out a lot longer than five games.
- Many of us have complained about Gary Bettman over the years, but who among us has had the courage/stupidity to put our feelings in writing? This guy has (thanks, js4rester).
- Hart: Jaromir Jagr (2 power play goals in 42 seconds in the second period put the game out of reach)
- Ross: Martin Rucinsky (3 assists)
- Norris: Jiri Fischer (Game winning goal in overtime, +1)
- Vezina: Curtis Joseph (25 save shutout win)
- Richard: Jaromir Jagr (2 goals)
- Calder: Henrik Lundqvist (23 save shutout win)
