This just arrived in my inbox, and is presented without comment:

"ESPN Zone will host an Alexander Oveckin costume competition on Friday, October 24th at 6 p.m. Children 14-and-under will attempt to mirror the Capitals left-winger's superstar style in an Ovechkin look-a-like contest, which will be voted on by fans in attendance."

    Every six-year old in the DC region missing a front tooth is at work on their costume.

    Actually my son and daughter are considering being hockey players for Halloween.

    We were thinking more of a black blue and red makeup approach, but dressing them like various versions of Ovie would be fun too.
