It's all in good fun, BOT (at least from my perspective). He's a great character to follow, especially as a counterpoint to his more celebrated countryman.
But yeah, people are spoiled by Ovechkin's work ethic and attitude and they wonder why everyone making more than $4 million a year to play hockey on 82 nights can't have a similar disposition.
Personally, all I really care about is what he does on the ice. That doesn't mean the rest of it can't be interesting, though.
Jeez Aldo- You weren't ever young and had a dorky haircut, apparently. Can't be any worse than the Hair Cuttery jobs that Ovechkin is/will be sporting.
@ Doug: I've been out of town and incredibly busy with work and other things, and since I haven't been out at Kettler, I really don't have anything to add to the great job that some of my bloggin' buddies have been doing. But once I get through the next week or so (the end of the fiscal year, really), things should be back to normal around here.
and EVERYBODY was happy....
ReplyDeleteVia the AP, proof that Alex Semin is, indeed, in the house and that Mike Green, indeed, still looks like a douchebag.
ReplyDeletehonestly, I have never heard or read so much bitching/mocking about a 35-40 goal scorer, with talent and upside in spades.
ReplyDeleteSpoiled doesn't even begin to describe it.
Time to slake your thirst with a long sip of perspective, people.

He does appear rather zombie-infected in that pic, though.

ReplyDeleteGreen looks decent...the others...uhm...they need help.
Green looks like he took the short bus to school, eh
ReplyDeleteThey all three look worried to me. It may be the Theodore Factor that's preying on their minds.
ReplyDeleteBest hair in the league, hands down.

Great pictures from practice, KCK!
ReplyDeletePage 2, picture 3 (from up side) – is it Michele Pfeiffer in caps uniform?
Semin's profile makes me think of a young Arnold Schwarzenegger in the first Terminator movie...
ReplyDeleteJP ---> outstanding new One-Timer. I missed that classic Gabbyism. Understated yet profound. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteJP, have you been on leave for the past few days, or under the weather? Figured you would write a piece or two on the preseason camps.
