Face Of The Day

With apologies to Andrew Sullivan for ripping off the title and a hat tip to Peerless on the pic, here's a look at the Tampa Bay Lightning's newest netminder:

  1. Man he looks like a guy that already knows how crappy the D is in front of him.

  2. The equipment staff in Tampa better reinforce Olie's stall to prevent "damage" this season (http://marks4java.tripod.com/images/image017.jpg).

  3. 2 things:
    1) I wont lie it sucks to see him in a non Caps jersey.

    2) He looks like he just realized he has no D.

  4. If anyone knows what it's like to play in front of "crappy D", it's Olaf Kolzig.

  10. So now I know what it feels like to see your ex-wife in another guy's arms. On the one hand, you're glad she's not with you but it still makes you a little sick to your stomach.

  11. 1) Its gonna be even more eery to see that look in person. Monday November 10th is probably gonna be an interesting night at Verizon.
    2) Melrose better play Olie! Wouldn't be surprised to see a small pre-game video montage on the Jumbotron in his honor, but once the puck is dropped that past affiliation will mean nothing

  12. Eerie, please.

anonymous is right -- is anybody knows how to play in front of crappy D, it's Olie. Maybe that's why TB wanted him XD

Let's see ... is this a game of "caption this"? How about:

"Tch! The mullet is /so/ not you, Coach Melrose."

  13. He very much has that serial killer "I know I shouldn't kill people, but I can't stop doing it" kind of look.

This year is going to be more embarrassing for him than awkward for us.

  14. So are we all saying that Olie most likely will not be a finalist for the Vezina this year?

  15. He has seen his future, and it ain't lookin' too good.
